Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1986, Simone Rocha studied fashion at The National College of Art and Design in Dublin, then continued her studies at Central Saint Martin’s College in London and graduated in 2010. Rocha debuted her first collection at London Fashion Week in September, that same year. Rebellious but at the same time romantic and feminine, Rocha often drew inspiration from art, nature, family and Ireland. Rocha’s tomboy-feminine collections have since gained traction, and earned herself numerous awards from British Fashion Award ‘Emerging Designer’ ‘13, to Hapers Bazaar Women of the Year ‘Designer’ ’16. While following in her father’s footsteps in becoming a designer, Rocha made a name for herself with her unique aesthetic that is sharper and more minimal, incorporating clean color palettes and experimental fabrics, such as wrapped tulle and heavily embroidered lace. Extending her signature romantic sensibilities into jewelry and hair accessories, the collection includes faux pearl hair clips, to crystal headbands inspired by artist Louise Bourgeois.
